Your Goals. Our Guidance. Your Success.

In addition to more contemporary approaches to process improvement, the reliable Business Process Reengineering (BPR) approach provides a simple and proven way to improve processes at various points within the organization.  Typically, Business Process Reengineering follows a four-step approach to identify and improve business processes that consists of:

  • Identifying the processes to improve.
  • Documenting the current process by creating or updating process diagrams, also called "as-is" process diagramming.
  • Design the new process, also called "to-be" process diagramming.
  • Implement the new process and adjust, as needed.

When taking on a Business Process Reengineering project, Cedar Point Consulting typically uses work flow (physical flow) diagrams and logical flow diagrams to improve the process, supplementing these tools with Lean and Six Sigma tools, as appropriate, to increase success.  While Business Process Reengineering is less common today than it was in the mid-1990's, Business Process Reengineering projects are still a valuable way to improve your business processes without having to learn complex tools, terms or technologies.
